As the snow melts away and the flowers begin to bloom, spring is undeniably the season of growth. In keeping with the feeling of the season, we want to highlight a member of our team that has experienced tremendous growth in her career and life. This month, we are highlighting Erica Griffin. Erica is the Territory Director of Western States and has been a member of our team for almost two years.

Erica grew up on a large farm on Sauvie Island in Oregon until she moved to Corvallis, OR to attend Oregon State University. There she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Merchandising Management. She always held the desire to head into management, and after working in the clothing industry for 12 years as a buyer she had the opportunity to transition into a role that allowed her to explore her options. In her new role, she became involved as a consultant in project management and was a vital team member in the construction of a 5-year project to construct a six-story - 35,000 sq ft building in downtown Corvallis. After which, she accepted a position at the Oregon State University Bookstore as a buyer in the tech industry.

While maintaining a full-time career, Erica turned a love of wine and wineries into an impressive opportunity for career and personal growth. While casually discussing with a winery owner about websites and social media, she was offered the opportunity to build their website and handle their social media. Through this experience, Erica became self-taught in website design and social media management.

Erica especially loved working at the bookstore and treasured working with the school departments and students to help them meet their hardware and technology needs. She was essential in bringing the OSU Beavers, Oregon State’s football team, into the 21st century by replacing their large bulky playbooks with iPads and a mobile management system. Erica, identifying a need for device repair, temporarily partnered with someone to offer repairs to students, staff, and faculty, but due to limited resources and means, the bookstore could not continue to offer these services.

Fortunately for Staymobile, who was looking for a new territory director for expansion in the western states, Erica’s impressive background, experiences, and initiative made her a stand out candidate. Since joining the team, Erica has opened 7 stores across 7 states. We’re excited to see where else she will open a store.

Despite frequent business trips and busy work days, she is a loving and dedicated mother and wife to her four kids and husband. When discussing her story, Erica said, “Sometimes I come home from a business trip and everyone’s already asleep. So the next morning, it’s so great when the kids wake up and see I’m home. Everyone is just so happy.” Erica’s husband is a retired U.S Navy Chief within the Seabee Division, who served our nation for 24 years. Her family loves being outdoors, hiking, biking, and just being together. To Erica, family is first. No matter what.

Staymobile is fortunate to have such an amazing member of our team. Erica has seen tremendous growth, and we look forward to seeing how much more Erica will grow with Staymobile and in life.
