Father's Day is right around the corner, so want to take this time to introduce another outstanding member of the Staymobile family, Christian Turner. Christian has been with Staymobile since its humble beginnings in the back of a mattress store. Not only has he helped grow Staymobile, he is also a new dad to a lovely baby boy. Discover why Christian is such an essential part of the Staymobile team and his family.
Christian became a member of Staymobile, which at the time was called Smartphone Medic, in 2009. He worked as a technician in the small store located in Columbia, South Carolina while attending school. During a store owner meeting, he met the founder of Staymobile, Chuck Morrison. Chuck and Christian formed an instant connection as they both shared the same vision for the business.
When Christian was about to graduate with a degree in Computer Science, he had the option of taking a job at a security company or following Chuck and staying with Staymobile. He made the decision to stick with Staymobile because he believed that Staymobile had unlimited potential and opportunity. He often says, “I was crazy enough, but smart enough, to take the opportunity.”
From 2011-2015, Christian and Chuck expanded the franchise business after relocating to Charlotte, NC. It was a lot of long hours and dedication, but their hard work was worth it. In 2015, Staymobile relocated to Atlanta, GA as an opportunity to rapidly grow and incorporate presented itself. Since then, Christian has taken immense pride in seeing Staymobile go from a small repair shop in the back of a mattress store to a growing company with over 40 locations and 200 employees. Christian has gone from a repair technician to the Senior Director of Operations as a result of his steadfast dedication to the company.
Not only has Christian seen Staymobile grow, he has seen his family grow. Christian met his beautiful wife Nicole in high school and she has been his biggest supporter since day one. “I couldn’t have done any of this without her constant support and dedication. She is the backbone of our family. I am so blessed to have her with me through this amazing journey.”
Since 2015 shortly after moving to Atlanta, Christian and Nicole have been the proud mom and dad of their collie-mix, Rufio. There’s no denying that Rufio has been the apple of Christian’s eye. “Rufio is me if I was a dog. I don’t care what anyone says, he’s the coolest dog in the world. Rufio was even mentioned in a glamour article as 45 people I’d Rather See Perform at the Super Bowl than Justin Timberlake (Check out #43!)
But Rufio is in for some tough competition because Nicole gave birth to their first child, Asher, on February 24th this year. When asked if it’s hard to balance work and his new responsibilities as a father Christian said, The newborn phase is challenging, especially with work. But I love being a father and I am blessed that Staymobile leadership values family and work-life balance, truly giving me the time to enjoy this experience.
Christian’s bright smile and positive attitude can fill any meeting with laughter. Whether he’s playful joking around or leading his team to success, Christian is a reliable person in any situation. It’s no secret that Staymobile is incredibly fortunate to have Christian on the team.
