David Fromal - CEO
David Fromal is a highly accomplished technology and technology driven business services executive with over 30 years of business experience with companies both large and small, including 5 in leadership roles with industry leading franchising companies. His track record in leading an organization turnaround, expanding a company’s core business, as well as launching and developing new businesses is impressive. He has extensive experience in strategic planning, brand building, business development, process improvement, operations, P&L management and team building. During his career, he has successfully launched new businesses, provided strategic, operational, and financial leadership throughout the corporate lifecycle – including early startup stages, initial demand creation, the aggressive corporate growth stage, mergers and acquisitions activities, through initial public offering.
In June 2013, Mr. Fromal was installed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Staymobile Franchise organization. From July 2009 through May 2013, as the President and CEO of R&D Group Inc., an independent consulting company in Atlanta, GA founded in 2006 and specializing in franchise operations, Mr. Fromal provided consulting services and development support for several franchise concepts including CPR – Cell Phone Repair Franchise Systems Inc., leading CPR’s growth from less than 10 locations in 2009 to more than 125 in 2013.
Over a two year period from 2004 to 2006, Mr. Fromal served as the President and CEO of Salis, Inc., a venture backed business process management start-up offering essential transactional tax services, directly and through strategic partnerships, to business of all sizes in various industries. During his tenure at Salis, Mr. Fromal successfully led the re-branding and re-positioning of the firm around a recurring revenue model, secured $7MM in additional funding, signed several multi-million dollar contracts with Fortune 100 organizations, all while creating an entirely new transaction processing category attracting the attention of major players in the space.
From 1999 to 2004, Mr. Fromal was Executive Vice President of Strategic Development with TRX, Inc., (TRXI on NASDAQ) the dominant provider of transaction processing services for the travel industry with global revenues in excess of $120MM. Starting as a small spin off of a national travel management company, TRX technology-assisted processing services set the global standard for airline ticket processing, supporting the operational requirements of the world’s largest travel suppliers and distributors. Mr. Fromal led the original launch effort in late 1999, oversaw the compilation of the S1 for IPO filing, managed all acquisition activities, and led all revenue generating activities.
In 1996, Mr. Fromal founded and served as Chairman & CEO of JARD Technology Group, a Dallas, Texas based start up whose mission was to facilitate the integration of technological tools into the elementary school environment. Successfully operating for three years prior to a sale to Futurekids, JARD’s staff included 15 educators, its revenues exceeded $2M annually, and its client list included a large public school district and numerous independent private schools.
Prior to JARD, Mr. Fromal held a variety of senior positions over a 12-year tenure at American Express Travel Related Services Company in the Corporate Card, Business Travel Management, and Consumer Travel organizations. Starting his career at American Express in direct sales, Mr. Fromal’s most recent position at American Express was Senior Vice President & General Manager, Personal Travel, where he was responsible for a $1B P&L, 1250 associates, 190 company owned stores, and 4 call centers.
Prior to graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Christopher Newport University (an extension of the College of William and Mary at the time of his graduation), Mr. Fromal served three years in the US Army spending eighteen models posted overseas. He and his wife Rachel have two sons and currently reside in Palma Sola, Florida.
